Bridge Description

This project, located in the heavily traveled east-west corridor of downtown Orlando Florida, consisted of the construction of two 1,700-foot super-elevated steel tub girder ramp bridges across Interstate 4 and the CSX railroad. Also included were two 500-foot steel plate girder bridges across I-4 and several bridge widenings. The interchange project included the construction of two flyover ramps from SR 408 to eastbound Interstate 4. These ramps allow traffic to enter the interstate from either direction on SR 408 and eliminate the existing bottleneck.

The project also featured a new Anderson Street bridge, a new exit ramp to Anderson Street from westbound I-4 and a new entrance ramp to I-4 westbound from Anderson Street.
